Falkirk’s LGBTIQ+ community stands against online hate speech

We, the undersigned LGBTQ+ groups across Falkirk, stand united in condemning all forms of online hate speech targeting our community.

Recent incidents have shown how social media platforms can become spaces of harm rather than inclusion. Hateful comments, threats, and abusive behavior have real-world consequences—especially in smaller communities where LGBTIQ+ people may already feel isolated or vulnerable.

Online hate speech:
– Silences LGBTQ+ voices and creates barriers to participation
– Causes psychological harm
– Undermines our collective progress toward equality

We call for:
– Greater public awareness on how to report online hate
– Continued education about the impact of digital harassment
– Solidarity from allies in challenging hate

To those affected: You are not alone.
