Falkirk’s LGBTIQ+ community celebrates the success of “Proud Corners”

The Queer Breakfast Club’s celebration this past weekend was a powerful gathering of community members, filled with joy and solidarity.

Kicking off on the morning of June 7, attendees enjoyed a relaxed gathering at Falkirk’s iconic Kelpies before moving to the Grangemouth Community Education Unit for an afternoon of poetry and connection. Award-nominated writer Amy Jo Philip captivated the audience with a heartfelt reading, setting the tone for a vibrant social celebration that followed.

“This was more than just a Pride event—it was proof that our queer community is thriving in the Falkirk district,” said a Breakfast Club spokesperson. “From the Kelpies to Grangemouth, we made it clear that Pride belongs in every corner.”
